Musician
Federico José Papp is an experimental musician and artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, based in Costa Rica and Canada.
Studying music from an early age, his sound palette is woven with many colors and nuances, producing a unique musical tapestry. His project Cymatic Dreams brings vocal choirs and the bansuri together into a deep and mindful listening.
As an artist
The Magic Sound Portal
As an artist, in his “Magic Sound Portal”, Cymatic Dreams weaves instrumental and vocal codes to create a space where consciousness is altered. In this state, people are able to travel within their inner space and unlock insights, inspiration and profound peace.
An ambient harmony mixed with electronic sounds and effects, as well as organic instruments, plus the voice as the main conductor. People can expect to receive visuals, experience altered states of perception and feel a powerful effect on the nervous system and energy field.
Active imagination
As C. Jung proposed, active imagination can be a method to unite the symbols and images presented to us by the subconscious, creating a narrative that can afterwards bring a lot of clarity to our present. (Active imagination is a process of communication between the subconscious and the conscious mind, a process to interact with the contents of the unconscious. It starts with getting in touch with hallucinations and visions, followed by dreams, and making space for deep meditation on the information being received.)

Mentor
As a mentor, Federico’s holistic and integral approach to vocal coaching and music guidance provides a creative and simple way to connect with the essence of music.
You will understand at a deeper level all the different aspects of our life that are interconnected with the practice of singing or playing an instrument as an extension of ourselves.
We will work in the subtle realm of the mind and our different bodies: our physical body and, as Anthroposophy, the spiritual science, teaches us, our etheric and astral bodies (the first, our active energetic body; the second, our emotions and sensations).

Producer & arranger
As a producer, he has been working on many projects for more than 18 years, assisting the process of creation, arrangement and general production, bringing magic and creativity with an authentic aesthetic.
This includes many of his own projects, bands and solo career over the years in Buenos Aires, and now, living in Nosara, Costa Rica, and in Canada, working with many different local and foreign artists, assisting and accompanying the process of production and recording. The experience of recording is one that can bring a lot of vulnerability and emotion to the surface, and this process is held in a completely safe environment, where empathy and patience are the main values in his work.
